To commence my project, I initiated a telephone conference with my instructor. My mentor has been very helpful as she discussed different topics in detail with me and with her consultation, I have decided on the general domain and topic of our professional capstone project, which will be teaching CNAs and Nurses about the clinical guidelines of using Incentive Spirometry. Both my mentor and instructor have given some very useful tips on how to shape this project week by week. We talked about how this project was geared towards the nurses and CNAs who spend more time with patients and also be able to teach them the correct use of this device by doing a PowerPoint on it. In order to check whether they have gone through the material, I will be taking a brief quiz and giving out a laminated badge card so that they can have it as a reminder.
